ALAS Language Tutoring
ALAS Language Tutoring is a private tutoring company offering language tutoring sessions for both Spanish and English.

We create custom lesson plans tailored to your current Spanish or English level using your preferred learning method combined with our course methods. We educate and provide the tools needed to reinforce and broaden language skills amongst all of our students.

ALAS Language Tutoring was created after noticing that our Spanish-speaking community within Louisville is growing, and the need for bilingual students, teachers, and employees is also increasing with it. Members of our community want to be able to communicate in both English and Spanish.
From years of tutoring both young students and adults in Spanish and English, I've noticed that practice makes perfect and one-on-one sessions help ensure that each student is getting the attention they need to improve their language skills and their communication skills.

Plans
Our different plans are based on the level of fluency and time that each student wants to spend on learning or improving their Spanish. We offer 1-hour tutoring sessions for high schoolers and adults and 30-minute tutoring sessions for adults on the go and school children beginning in Kindergarten to 8th grade.
During your free consultation, we will discuss our different packages and recommend which package best suits your needs. With your input, we will determine which plan is best for you.
Alitas (Little Wings)
Beginner/Refresher
This package is for those who are just get started on their Spanish journey and want to learn the basics. It also serves as a refresher course for those who took Spanish years ago and would like to refresh their skill set.

Mariposa (Butterfly)
Intermediate
This package is for those who have already learned the basics and are comfortable with their foundation but would like to learn more vocabulary and grammar skills.
Colibrà (Hummingbird)
Advanced
This package is for those who dominate the basics and intermediate knowledge and want to take their grammar and conversational skills to the next level.

Owner-Spanish & English Tutor
I am a multi-lingual language instructor and tutor who has been tutoring for over 10 years. Apart from having a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and experience in teaching ESL, I also speak Portuguese and Italian. Being able to communicate with others in their own language and teaching those skills to others has always been my passion. It has allowed me to travel the world and be able to connect with people inside my own community and globally.
Previously, I taught 10th grade English Language Arts in a private school in Panamá. I moved back to Louisville in mid-March of 2019. In 2020, I created ALAS Language Tutoring to be able to better serve the Louisville community.
